Bread Care & Storage

Fresh-baked goodness deserves a little love. Here's how to keep your bread at its very best.

Caring for Your Bread at Home

Simple storage tips to keep your bread fresh and flavorful.

Day of Pickup

  • Enjoy bread the same day if possible
  • Let bread cool completely before storing
  • If freezing, slice first for best results

Short-Term Storage

  • Store sealed at room temperature
  • Best enjoyed within 1–2 days
  • Avoid refrigerating gluten-free bread, which can cause it to dry out

Freezing preserves texture and flavor

  • Freeze sliced bread in an airtight bag
  • Toast or reheat straight from frozen—no thawing needed
  • Toast or reheat straight from frozen
  • Keeps well for up to 3 months

Best tip: Slice before freezing so you can reheat or toast exactly what you need—without waste.

Reheating & Serving Tips

Simple ways to bring your bread back to life—fresh or frozen.

Focaccia

  • Fresh: Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 8–12 minutes
  • Frozen: Reheat directly from frozen at 350°F for 12–15 minutes
  • Optional: drizzle lightly with olive oil before reheating
  • Avoid microwaving, which can make focaccia dense

Dinner Rolls

  • Best Results: Reheat covered to trap steam and keep rolls soft
  • Fresh: Place rolls in foil (or a covered oven-safe dish) and reheat at 325–350°F for 6–8 minutes
  • Frozen: Place rolls in foil (or a covered oven-safe dish) and reheat directly from frozen at 325–350°F for 10–12 minutes
  • Tip: Uncover for the last 1–2 minutes if you want lightly crisp tops

Sandwich Bread

  • Fresh: Toast until warm and lightly crisp
  • Frozen (sliced): Toast straight from frozen—no thawing needed
  • Frozen (whole loaf): Thaw at room temperature until soft, then toast slices as needed
  • Avoid microwaving alone, which can cause gumminess
  • Pro tip: Lightly mist slices with water and warm in the oven or toaster oven until soft and heated through

French Bread & Baguettes

  • Best Results: Before reheating, lightly mist the crust with water
  • Fresh: After misting, reheat directly on the oven rack at 350°F for 8–10 minutes
  • Frozen: Lightly mist, then reheat directly from frozen on the oven rack at 350°F for 12–15 minutes
  • Tip: Let bread rest for 2–3 minutes before slicing for the best texture

Artisan Loaf

  • Fresh: Toast slices or warm the loaf in the oven at 350°F
  • Frozen (sliced): Toast slices straight from frozen
  • Frozen (whole loaf): Thaw at room temperature, then warm in the oven at 350°F for 10–15 minutes
  • Optional: lightly mist the crust with water before oven reheating to refresh texture

For best results, reheat gluten-free bread with moisture and heat. Lightly misting or covering bread before reheating helps restore softness, while the oven or toaster provides structure and crispness.

A Note on Fresh Gluten-Free Bread

Our bread is baked fresh and without preservatives, which means it’s meant to be enjoyed a little differently than store-bought bread. That’s completely normal—and it’s part of what makes it special.

With the right storage and a quick reheat, you’ll get the best texture and flavor every time. A little care goes a long way.
